Eternal Life

HAVE YOU EVER SURRENDERED YOUR HEART AND LIFE TO GOD’S SON, JESUS CHRIST?

If this was the last hour you had to live, do you have the assurance that you would go to heaven?  Have you ever wanted to become a Christian, a true child of God, know that all your sins are forgiven, and know that you will go to heaven when you die?  I want to tell you how you can receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your heart and life right now and have that everlasting peace and assurance of knowing that you have been saved and heaven with God will be your home some day.

FIRST: YOU MUST ADMIT YOU ARE A SINNER AND ADMIT YOU SIN.

You must understand that you are a sinner just like everyone else because the Bible says in Romans 2:23 “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

SECOND: YOU MUST ABANDON ALL OF YOUR SELF-EFFORTS.

You must understand that you cannot do anything to save yourself by your own deeds, good works, or efforts.  The Bible makes this very clear in Titus 3:5 when it says it is “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”  The Bible also says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.”

THIRD: YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THE PAYMENT CHRIST MADE FOR YOU.

You must by faith, believe that Jesus Christ, who is the very Son of God left heaven and came to this earth to take upon himself your sins and die for you that you may be forgiven.  The Bible tells us that all sin must be punished, because it says in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”  However, because Jesus came to take the punishment for our sins, the rest of that verse says, “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  That is the most wonderful act of love ever expressed.  The Bible also says in Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  That means that the Lord Jesus Christ died in your place and your sin debt has been paid in full by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, which 1st John 1:7 says “cleanseth us from all sin.”

FOURTH: YOU MUST ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR.

You must be willing to turn your back to your sins, put your faith and trust in Jesus, confess to Him in prayer that you want Him to come into your heart and forgive you and save your soul. The Blood of Jesus will do you no good until you receive Him by faith.  The Bible says in Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”  Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

If you have never accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you have the least concern or consideration about what you have just read, the Holy Spirit is speaking to your heart.

HERE IS A PRAYER TO GUIDE YOU ON YOU WAY TO JESUS:

O God, I confess to you that I am a sinner.  I am lost in my sins and I want you to forgive me.  I know I cannot save myself, so right here and now, once and for all, I confess that I trust you to save me.  Come into my heart and life, forgive my sins, and make me your child for all eternity.  I give you my heart as my Savior.  I promise to live for you as my Lord.  Give me strength to live for you, in Jesus name, Amen.

If you will make that your heartfelt prayer, God will hear you and He will save you and make you His child.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
